I was wondering the same thing. Perhaps because there is very little room for CLO2 gas to expand in the small syringe compared to the much larger test tube, or in an open container as is normally used to activate MMS1. There is pressure build up in a syringe which I have seen with larger doses. Still thinking about this question...
I've been away from internet for several days, and just able to return and read all these great comments, info and suggestions! I'm catching up.
I wanted to let you all know that I watched the YouTube video (thanks to the suggestion of someone here) about how to test. I was only doing two things differently -- not using distilled water, and not using a syringe for measuring the liquid. As someone here mentioned the difference in ozs. I was using R/O (no chlorine or fluoride) water that the book said was ok.
I quickly changed to distilled water and could immediately taste the difference. With my R/O water, it had zero taste. I did not understand all the comments about how bad it tasted ... until I used the distilled water. Yuck!! Then, I tested 3:3 MMS to HCL, and it tested at 25 ppm, barely. But it was certainly close enough and a lot higher than before.
I've been using distilled water since. I still have not used the syringe. I can barely choke it down, but doing it. I'm also having some physical reaction, which I did not with my R/O water. I was up to 6 drops with the R/O and felt nothing. Now, at 3 I'm feeling it.
With all that said, the color is STILL yellow! It looks just like the color in the syringe photo someone posted. Nothing like the vial photo color.
Thanks for all the comments and helping each other. Certainly helps to have support through this process.
I'll update if I learn anything new.
CLO2. Great question! I just tested both. Distilled is very acidic at 5.5 - 5.8. R/O was practically neutral around 6.8. I always thought distilled was neutral PH. I buy it in a jug (which I hate that it's in plastic, but that's the only way I find it).
Could the acidic water be the reason for the taste and higher ppm? The video distinctly discussed distilled water and I believe it even mentioned being neutral PH. I'm wondering if I should go back to my reg water now.
I do smell the gas when mixing. It's strong. I put a towel over my face so I don't breathe too much. I always use glass for everything. I even stir it with a glass eye dropper. I use a small mason jar which has oz measurements on it. I double checked it to make sure it was accurate. I use that to add 4oz water.
Thanks for that tip. Now, I'm a little more confused, but that's ok. I want to do the right thing.
Mine is the same. I do one drop each in a white mug first and let it sit for about 20 seconds. Then I gently sort of jiggle it to mix it for the next 10 seconds (30 seconds). Right before I jiggle it right where the mms and hcl meet it will be amber but once I jiggle to mix it becomes brightly almost neon yellow. It stinks to high heaven and tastes like it smells. I try not to get the smell in my nose as it seems to linger forever .
Thank you so much for that! I never let it sit, which may be why I've never seen the amber color. And, I always use glass. Mine always looks like your last picture of the yellow. I'm going to try the way you do it tomorrow and see what happens.
Yes, mine smells, too. I hold it away from my face and/or put a towel over my nose until I'm ready to drink. Even then, I take a breath before I drink so I don't inhale. It is nasty. Although, the book says that inhalation is one of the therapies. I think it's a matter of not getting too much.
Thanks again! I'll let you know if I get the same results. I will definitely feel better just seeing that it CAN turn amber.
I’ve read so many different things I don’t know what’s what. I use only 1/2 cup water to 1 drop. When I tried more water it was virtually undetectable but I was told I was diluting it too much. Then I’ve read it doesn’t matter how much.
Terri I actually got really sick once so far and not to be gross but even when it came back up there it was that glowing neon yellow. I use all glass as well. I use a little eye dropper to stir it. The water turns slightly yellow also. I usually plug my nose when I drink it. At only 2 drops it was very strong. Now I’m doing 1/2 drops every hour regardless of whether I’ve eaten or not before working up again. I can’t go 8 hours without eating. I’m constantly trying to figure out what works best for me. It’s quite the science experiment. Unlike anything I’ve tried.
